Yardmaster NW is owned and operated by John Easom.
John has the tools, education, and experience to get your landscape maintenance job done right. His mission is to improve your yard and landscaping, creating an environment of peace and tranquility for you and your family.
He is an Army Veteran with an associates degree in Landscape Technology from Portland Community College and a Master Gardener Certificate from Oregon State University Extension.
At PCC he studied plant identification, soil types, permaculture and landscape design, plant establishment and maintenance, and construction for decks, water gardens, irrigation, and much more. Through the Master Gardener program, he learned integrated pest management and pesticide safety, soils, fertilizers, and composting, vegetable and container gardening, and sustainable landscaping.
Like many American Veterans, John spent years living homeless in the City of Portland. He was one of the first residents of Dignity Village, and is happy to say that he has successfully left homelessness behind, started Yardmaster NW, and contributes to the community through volunteer work helping the rehabilitation of other homeless men.
